Penelope Przekop

Penelope Przekop has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Penelope is currently working as the Executive Vice President Quality & Compliance and Data Protection Officer at ILiAD Biotechnologies, LLC, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer at Engrail Therapeutics, starting in December 2020.

During their time at PDC Pharma Strategy, where they were the Chief Executive Officer from 2008, Penelope was responsible for developing and executing risk-based strategies supporting regulatory compliance in the drug development process. Penelope oversaw various areas such as clinical & pharmacovigilance quality systems strategy, growth phase compliance strategy, and professional development strategy, among others.

From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Theradex Systems as the Senior Director of Global Quality Assurance & Training. Before that, they worked at Johnson & Johnson as the Director of Global Quality Management / Pharmacovigilance, where they created the first global pharmacovigilance quality management organization within the company. Penelope'srole included overseeing internal auditing processes and providing information for oversight by senior management.

Penelope also has experience at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Manager of Quality Management & Contractual Agreements in Global Pharmacovigilance. At Covance, they worked as a Manager of Quality Management. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant in Worldwide Drug Safety at Pfizer and as a Regulatory Project Manager at Novartis.

Penelope'scareer in the industry started at Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals, where they worked as a GCP Auditor and later as a Pharmacologist.

Penelope Przekop completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General, at LSU Shreveport from 1984 to 1988. Penelope then pursued a Master's Degree in Quality Assurance / Systems Engineering at Kennesaw State University from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Penelope has obtained several certifications. Penelope completed the Senior Leadership Program for Professional Women at Rutgers University in May 2006. Following that, they attended the Smith College Program for Women's Leadership in May 2007. Penelope is also a Registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Clinical Practice (RQAP-GCP), which they obtained from The Society for Quality Assurance in April 2014. Furthermore, they hold a certification as a Certified Quality Manager (CQM) from ASQ, obtained in January 2005.
