Joseph Cody has held a variety of positions in the engineering and cybersecurity fields. Joseph began their career in 1996 as an Electrician's Mate 3rd Class, Nuclear (Submariner) in the U.S. Navy. Joseph then moved to ENSCO Offshore as a Rig Electrician in 1998, followed by Nucor Steel as a Shift Engineer/Electrician in 1999. In 2003, they joined Allied Tube & Conduit as an IPM/IT Coordinator, and in 2007 they took a position as a Data Integration Engineer at Novaspect, Inc. In 2017, they began working at Enhanced Information Solutions (EIS) as Director of OT Cybersecurity and Network Services, where they also served as Cyber Security Team Lead and Operational Intelligence Consultant.
Joseph Cody attended Arkansas State University from 2001 to 2003, studying Electrical Engineering. Joseph then attended Purdue University Northwest from 2003 to 2010, earning an Associate of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering Technology. After that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science from Purdue University Northwest from 2003 to 2017. Finally, they obtained a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management from Purdue University Global from 2020 to 2022.
