Vangelis Ouzounis

Head Of Policy Development And Implementation Unit at European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA)

Vangelis Ouzounis serves as the Head of Policy Development and Implementation Unit at the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since July 2007, leading initiatives related to the NIS Directive. Previously, Ouzounis held the position of Head of Secure Infrastructures and Services Unit at ENISA, managing critical information infrastructures, and co-founded the CIIP and Resilience Program. Prior experience includes a role as Project Officer at the European Commission, contributing to R&D strategies for securing infrastructures, and as Deputy Director at Fraunhofer FOKUS, where Ouzounis co-founded the Electronic Commerce Centre of Competence, managed R&D projects, and facilitated the establishment of two spin-offs. Ouzounis has an extensive educational background with degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Ph.D. from Technische Universität Berlin and various executive programs at Yale and the University of Oxford.
