Enkaustikos manufactures high quality encaustic paints and supplies for the professional artist. Mike and John Lesczinski started Enkaustikos in 1996. As the encaustic market began to grow, Enkaustikos re-invented their product line by upgrading their paint milling process from a 3 roll mill to a state-of-the-art modern milling machine. Enkaustikos encaustic paints are made using only the finest quality ingredients such as U.S.P grade beeswax, damar resin, and artist grade pigments and boast to be creamy, rich, and vibrant in color. These encaustic paints now come in the convenient, metal Hot Cakes tin -- which won "Best New Product" and "Best Packaging" at NAMTA 2009. Hot Cakes can be found in retailers across the globe and you can view common encaustic painting techniques on www.youtube page.com/Enkaustikos. The popular, Enkaustikos sundries line is featured in beautiful resealable bags and was introduced in 2010 when the line won "Best Packaging" at NAMTA. Enkaustikos remains dedicated to creating the best encaustic supplies available and continues to introduce both new products and paint colors. Enkaustikos takes pride in their encaustic products and works diligently to educate artists about the unique encaustic medium. You can find the Enkaustikos art instructional DVD, "Heat Up Your Art!" in stores now.
