Alex Kellum has worked in various roles in the scientific field since 2013. In 2013, they began working as a Scientist at Tetramer Technologies, LLC, where they worked on three projects at the chemistry-materials science interface. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as an Organic Chemistry Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, where they conducted research on the total synthesis of a complex marine macrolide natural product. In 2019, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Pfizer, where they were involved in the design, synthesis, and evaluation of small molecule inhibitors for various oncogenic drivers, as well as the development of enabling chemistry to synthesize such targets. Alex also managed an external CRO group and a direct associate chemist. In 2022, they will begin working as a Senior Scientist at Enliven Therapeutics.
Alex Kellum received their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Clemson University in 2014 and their Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019.
