Mika Helonsalo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mika started their career at Outokummun Metalli Oy as a Metal Work Trainee and Technician. Mika then worked as a Plastic Work Trainee at Järvisuomen Merenkulkupiiri before joining Valukumpu Oy as a Thesis Worker and Operator.

Mika's career progressed when they joined Nokia, where they held multiple roles such as Mechanics Designer, Senior Mechanics Designer & Specialist, and Mechanics Variant Specialist. During their time at Nokia, they specialized in customization methods and was responsible for managing Operator and B2B Customer logos, legal markings, and device branding. Mika also played a key role in creating new customization methods and variants for smartphones.

After their tenure at Nokia, Mika worked at Microsoft Mobile Oy as a Business Program Manager. In this role, they managed customer variants and led the development and manufacturing of color variants, branding, legal markings, and sales packages for Operator and B2B Customer products.

Mika then transitioned to Valmet Automotive, where they initially worked as a Mechanical Lead Engineer in product development of electric vehicle powertrain. Here, they focused on creating mechanical components for energy storage systems. Mika later joined Enmac Oy as a Project Manager, where they oversaw the design, manufacture, and commissioning of machines ordered by Enmac customers.

In addition to their professional experience, Mika completed a Master's Degree in Wellbeing Technology at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. During their studies, they focused on developing remote patient monitoring technologies using Internet of Things methods.

Throughout their career, Mika has showcased their expertise in mechanical design, FEM analysis, risk analysis, pressure equipment analysis, CE-marking, and project management. Mika has also demonstrated their ability to utilize available technologies and implement them with creative ideas.

Mika Helonsalo's education history is as follows:

- From 1992 to 1996, they attended North Carelia Polytechnic - AMK and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Machine Engineering, specializing in Polymers and Production handling.

- In 1990 and 1991, they studied at Rakennustekniikan Opisto in Helsinki, where they obtained a degree as a Drawer for buildings.

- In the same year, they obtained the SFS6002 Sähkötyöturvallisuuskoulutus autoalalle certification from Länsirannikon Koulutus Oy WinNova.

- In 2017, Mika also completed the NX Basics course in 3D-modelling at IDEAL PLM.

- Finally, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued a Professional Teacher degree in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Subject Areas at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

In addition to their education, Mika obtained the SFS 6002 Sähkötyöturvallisuus certification in November 2017.
