Katrin Otto has worked in a variety of roles since 2003. Katrin began their career as a Bit Player | Kleindarsteller in the play "Zement" written by Heiner Müller (adapted from a novel by Fjodor W. Gladkow) at Theater Junge Generation - TJG in 2003. In 2006, they worked as an Office Assistant for Exper Consulting GmbH and a Front-Of-House Officer for Power GmbH. In 2007, they worked as a Gestaltungstechnische Assistentin for Queen-Carroms Spielwaren GmbH. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Front-End-Entwickler for Snoopmedia GmbH and UNISTER Holding GmbH. From 2013 to 2014, they worked in various roles such as a barista in Australia and a farm worker on a dairy in New Zealand. Since 2017, they have been a Software-Entwickler for Enmacc GmbH.

Katrin Otto has an education history that includes obtaining a general higher education entrance qualification in Europe (allgemeine Hochschulreife) from the Abendgymnasium Dresden between 2010 and 2013, an advanced technical certificate (Fachhochschulreife) from ESB mediencollege gGmbH in 2005 and 2006, and a gestaltungstechnische Assistentin from ESB mediencollege gGmbH between 2003 and 2005.
