Derek Major

Derek Major serves as the Manager of Metering and Meter Services and Manager PMO - Project Delivery at ENMAX since December 2019. Prior to this, Derek held the position of Director Operations Project Delivery and EPMO at AESO from September 2010 to November 2019, overseeing the reliable operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. Derek's earlier experience includes leadership roles such as Lead Project Management Office at Cenovus Energy and Program Manager at CNRL, along with project management positions at TELUS, IBM, Saskatchewan Property Management Corporation, and Technology Management Corporation. Academically, Derek holds a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership from the University of Fredericton and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Regina, complemented by a Diploma in Business Administration from the same institution.
