Can Okan Aydın

Can Okan Aydın has worked in various roles related to biotechnology and business development since 2017. In 2021, they were an Intern Bioinformatician at the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS), where they worked on SCEPIA, an open-source software built for prediction of transcription factor motif activity from single cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) data. In 2018, they were a Junior Biotechnology Specialist at Nobel Ilac A.S, where they collaborated with R&D and Business Development teams in EGFR mAb Biosimilar and Bispecific Anti-Cancer mAb projects. In 2017, they were a Student Research Assistant at Istanbul Bilgi University, where they analyzed batch starchy vegetable fermentation products in order to determine probiotic and nutritional values. Can Okan is currently a Junior Business Development Scientist at ENPICOM BV and an Intern Application Scientist, where they are researching the technologies used in antibody discovery, identifying underserved needs of clients within the industry, and developing strategies for further company growth and project development.

Can Okan Aydın has a comprehensive education history. Can Okan obtained a High School Diploma from St. Georg Avusturya Lisesi ve Ticaret Okulu (Österreichisches St. Georgs-Kolleg) in 2014. Can Okan then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering in Genetics and Bioengineering from Istanbul Bilgi University, which they completed in 2019. In 2020, they began a Master of Science in Medical Biology - Medical Epigenomics from Radboud University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Can Okan is also currently pursuing a Master of Science in Medical Biology - Science, Management, and Innovation in Health from Radboud University, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as ALES (Grade: 82.15) from Centre for Assessment, Selection and Placement ÖSYM in 2018, IELTS Academic (Overall Grade: 8.0) from IELTS Official in 2018, and B2 Sprachdiplom from ÖSD in 2013.
