Matthew Durant

R&D Manager - Materials at EnPower

Matthew Durant has been working in the engineering field since 2013. Matthew began their career as a Lime Hydrate Plant Engineering Intern at Lhoist, where they worked on the start-up of a new lime hydrate plant. In 2014, they were an ASU Plant Engineering Intern at Air Products. From 2015 to 2018, they were a SMR Plant Engineer, Reliability Engineer, and Helium Operations Engineer at Air Products. During their time there, they led a $150,000 wireless vibration sensor project to provide condition monitoring on rotating equipment and prevent maintenance. Matthew also monitored local machinery parameters for equipment degradation to avoid unwanted maintenance costs and plant downtime. In 2018, they moved to Crayola, where they were a Process Development Engineer. In 2020, they joined Boeing as a M&PT- Non-Metallics Engineer. Currently, they are working at EnPower, Inc. as a R&D Manager - Materials and Senior Process Engineer.

Matthew Durant attended Lehigh University from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Master of Engineering in Materials Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
