Tetsuya Ishikawa

Tetsuya (Teddy) Ishikawa has over 35 years of experience in the capital equipment industry, with emphasis on product development and a strong track record of creating corporate-level engineering infrastructure, best practice, and discipline. He joined EnPower as a Technical Advisor in August 2021.

Teddy’s experience includes 31 years at Applied Materials developing semiconductor equipment and manufacturing processes as well as leading exploratory projects for energy storage devices. He most recently served as Senior Engineering Manager and Lead Researcher at Apple, Inc., where he developed battery manufacturing technologies.

Currently, Teddy serves as Vice President and CTO at iLabo Corporation, an engineering company aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by providing conversion technologies for hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engines and consultations for the associated hydrogen ecosystem.

Teddy is a hands-on engineer with expertise across design, computer modeling, fabrication, and experimental work. He has led large product development teams and has a significant track record in patent filings. Teddy holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hosei University, Tokyo, Japan.
