Lead Instrument Technician at EnQuest

Robert Hutton has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert started their career in 2002 as an Avionics Technician in the Royal Air Force, where they later became an Avionics Supervising Technician. In this role, they specialized in fault finding and repairing complex electrical and avionic systems on the Tornado GR4 Aircraft. Robert also managed a team of 10 technicians and ensured all maintenance tasks were completed before the aircraft was cleared to fly. In 2014, they joined Petrofac as an Instrument Tech, where they planned maintenance and provided breakdown cover for Instrument and Control Loops. Robert also documented work, managed spare resources, and raised defects using SAP Asset Manager and Microsoft Office. In 2018, they joined EnQuest as a Lead Instrument Technician, where they currently work.

Robert Hutton has a Diploma at SCQF Level 7 in Maintaining Engineering Construction Plant and Systems with a focus on Instrument and Controls from ECITB, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Robert also completed the Forces Transition Programme in Instrument and Control at PTS Montrose in 2014. Prior to that, they earned an NVQ Level 3 and Modern Apprenticeship in Avionics Maintenance Technology/Technician from RAF Cosford No1 School of Technical Training between 2002 and 2004. Their secondary education took place at Boroughmuir High School from 1994 to 2000, where they achieved Highers in Physics, Technology, Math, Craft and Design, Music, and Graphic Communication. In addition to their formal education, Robert also obtained several certifications in various areas such as CompEx Ex 01-04, Compression Fittings and Thread Awareness, BOSIET, and MIST. The years of acquisition for these certifications are not provided.
