Cat Tate Starmer

Cat Tate Starmer is an accomplished lighting designer and lecturer with extensive experience in theatrical lighting. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Lighting Design at both Rutgers University and Fordham University, Cat also holds lighting design positions at notable institutions such as Alley Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, and Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Additionally, Cat operates a personal lighting design company established in June 2000 and has worked on various productions, including "Hold These Truths" by Jeanne Sakata. Cat's academic background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Yale School of Drama and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Appalachian State University.
