Rod Roberson

Director, Product Development at Ensequence

Rod Roberson has had a long and varied career in software development, beginning in 1984 with Graphic Software Systems (GSS) where they were a Software Development Manager and Developer. In this role, they developed software to support multiple printer and display graphics drivers, and the Graphical Kernel System (GKS) standard graphics API, as well as managing and developing software for the Computer Graphics Metafile Driver and Interpreter. In 1990, they moved to NCD as a Development Manager, where they managed several engineers in the development of NCD’s Windows-based terminal (WBT) software. In 2000, they joined LTX-Credence as a Development Manager, where they defined and pioneered the use of the Credence standard development process – The Credence Unified Process. Rod then moved to Ensequence in 2005, where they took on the role of Director, Product Development. In this role, they led several development teams as a Development Manager and then as Director of Product Development, creating and refining an iterative development process tailored to the needs of Ensequence. Rod was ultimately responsible for an organization of over 30 development and QA engineers, technical publications and SCM. In 2015, Rod Roberson retired and took on the role of Director of Being Retired at Home.

Rod Roberson attended The Ohio State University from 1973 to 1975, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology. Rod also attended Chico State from 1981 to 1984, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
