Mathew Bater

Mathew Bater has a strong background in tax management and finance. Mathew started their career as a Graduate Finance Trainee at Capita in 2004. Mathew then joined Royal Bank of Scotland, where they worked as a Tax Assistant in Global Banking & Markets before being promoted to Group Tax Assistant Manager. In 2012, they moved to Standard Chartered Bank as an Indirect Tax Manager for Europe and later became a Senior Manager for Indirect Tax, Regions.

In 2017, Mathew joined Enstar Group as a Senior Indirect Tax Manager and progressed to become the Head of Indirect Taxes & Transfer Pricing. Mathew then served as the Head of Tax for StarStone before finally being appointed as the Head of Tax, Europe in 2021. Throughout their professional journey, Mathew has consistently demonstrated expertise and leadership in tax management roles.
