Ryan Abo

Ryan Abo has a strong background in computational biology and bioinformatics. Ryan is currently employed as the Director of Data Science at Entact Bio, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Director of Computational Biology at Arbor Biotechnologies from July 2022 to March 2023. From July 2021 to July 2022, they were the Associate Director of Bioinformatics/Computational Biology at Nested Therapeutics. Before that, they worked as the Associate Director of Computational Biology at Obsidian Therapeutics from January 2021 to July 2021. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Principal Scientist at Ribon Therapeutics from August 2019 to January 2021, and Senior Scientist and Computational Biologist at Ribon Therapeutics from April 2017 to August 2019. Ryan also worked as a Senior Computational Statistician at WuXi NextCODE from December 2015 to April 2017, and as a Bioinformatics Scientist and Computational Biologist at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from July 2013 to December 2015. Ryan began their career as a Bioinformatics Scientist at MIT from March 2012 to June 2013 and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic from July 2010 to March 2012. Ryan holds a doctoral fellowship at the National Library of Medicine at the University of Utah Biomedical Informatics Department from July 2006 to May 2010.

Ryan Abo completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Math from The College of Idaho, where they attended from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah School of Medicine, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.
