Maitreyi (Molly) Majumder

Maitreyi (Molly) Majumder has a diverse work experience. Maitreyi (Molly) began their career in 2011 as an Intern for the Noble mission of South Calcutta. In 2012, they worked as a Correspondent for Score Media Pvt. Ltd., where they worked for the sales department and wrote regular articles for the magazine. From 2013 to 2018, they held various roles at Orient BlackSwan, including Senior Marketing Executive, Marketing Executive, and Management Trainee. In 2018, they became a Research-Writing Specialist at Emerson College. Maitreyi (Molly) then moved to Kneerim and Williams Literary Agency as an Editorial Intern, where they assisted with reading slush, partial, and full manuscripts, requested and evaluated manuscripts, and wrote reader reports. In 2019, they held an Editorial Intern role at Beacon Press and an Editorial Assistant role at Tor/Forge Books, where they maintained publication schedules, communicated with authors and agents, and wrote flap copy, title information sheets, and catalog copy. Currently, they are the Editorial Director of Red Tower Books and an Editor at Entangled Publishing.

Maitreyi (Molly) Majumder obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies (Under Graduate) between 2010 and 2013. Maitreyi (Molly) then went on to complete a Master of Arts - MA in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended The Lawrence School, Lovedale from 2001 to 2010.
