Aurelie Marcotte, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to present. In 2007, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Wheaton College (MA) where they optimized ion-exchange chromatography (IC) parameters to measure methanesulfonic acid (MSA) at ppb concentrations in an ice core from South-Central Greenland. From 2010 to 2015, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Arizona State University where they conducted laboratory experiments to study iron speciation and solubility in size-segregated pure mineral phases and aerosol samples. Aurelie also developed novel chromatography and mass spectrometry methods to resolve and quantify complex organic mixtures in the atmosphere as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Yale University from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they were a Mass Spectrometry Specialist at Waters Corporation during the same time period. Since 2017, they have been an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) where they have utilized non-targeted analysis with high-resolution mass spectrometry techniques to characterize previously understudied or unknown compounds relevant to human exposure in a variety of media types. Most recently, they have been a Director of Sales and Business Development and Senior Account Executive at Entanglement Technologies, Inc. since 2021.

Aurelie Marcotte, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wheaton College Massachusetts in 2010, followed by a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University in 2015. Prior to that, they attended Minnechaug Regional High School from 2002 to 2006.
