Ali Seyed Shirkhorshidi

Ali Seyed Shirkhorshidi has an extensive work experience in various data science roles. Ali Seyed is currently the Director of Data Science at Entefy since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Dattel Asia Group where they held multiple positions including Regional Division Head for Data and Analytics from October 2020 to August 2021, Regional Division Head for Research and Analytics from May 2019 to September 2020, Head of Analytics Unit from April 2018 to May 2019, and Team Lead Data Scientist for data and engineering from January 2018 to April 2018.

Before joining Dattel Asia Group, Ali worked at True Vox Asia as a Sr. Data Scientist from March 2017 to January 2018 and as a Data Scientist from October 2016 to March 2017. Ali Seyed also has experience as a University Malaya Research Grant - Research Assistant at the University of Malaya from September 2013 to June 2016 and as a Software Engineer at the Center of Technology and Innovation (CTI) from June 2012 to March 2013.

Ali Seyed Shirkhorshidi has a comprehensive education history in the field of Computer Science, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Ali Seyed obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Malaya, where they studied from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, Ali earned a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University, where they attended from 2011 to 2012. Ali Seyed also possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (Information Systems), which they completed from Payame Noor University (Distance Education) between 2005 and 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Ali Seyed Shirkhorshidi has obtained various certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field. Ali Seyed completed courses such as "An Introduction to Machine Learning for Data Engineers" from Udemy in March 2018, "A Crash Course in Data Science" and "Building a Data Science Team" from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2017, "Big Data Foundations" from IBM in June 2016, and "Using Databases with Python," "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)," "Python Data Structures," and "Using Python to Access Web Data" from the University of Michigan in 2016. Ali Seyed also obtained a certification in "R Programming" from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2015 and completed "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" course from the University of Michigan in October 2015.
