Jamel Toms

Jamel Toms has been working in the software engineering industry since 2008. In 2011, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at ManTech, where they engineered a data identification solution using Weka Machine Learning Toolkit and a low-latency, high-performance, concurrent reactive file identification toolkit. In 2012, they co-founded Aura Studios and independently engineered an interactive, live, streaming, concert platform. In 2016, they co-founded Enterprize Software and established a back-office system to support operations for small businesses. Additionally, they engineered a custom front-end, network/graph visualization JavaScript library. Lastly, from 2008-2011, Jamel worked at Telos Corporation, where they integrated an instant CVE search capability into Xacta, engineered a flexible publishing tool, and created a collaborative web application from the ground up.

Jamel Toms attended Chancellor High School from 1999 to 2003. Jamel then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2008.
