Michael G. Lewis has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property and law. Michael G. currently holds the position of Vice President, Intellectual Property Protection and Security at the Entertainment Software Association since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as Chief Counsel, Intellectual Property Protection and Security at the same company from August 2018 to April 2021.

Before joining the Entertainment Software Association, Lewis worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus from January 2008 to January 2020. Lewis's earlier experience includes positions at the USPTO, where they worked as Chief of Staff (Acting) in the Office of the General Counsel from June 2010 to December 2010, as Associate General Counsel from January 2008 to May 2010, and as a Trademark Attorney from May 2005 to January 2008. Prior to joining the USPTO, they worked as a Copyright Examiner at the United States Copyright Office from September 2004 to May 2005.
