Monique Zangarini has over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Molecular Oncology Laboratory of Vito Fazzi Hospital. Monique then became a Master's Student Researcher at the Cancer Clinical Pharmacology Unit of Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research from 2010 to 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Junior Scientist at the Department of Translational Sciences and Pharmacokinetics of Rottapharm. Monique then moved to Proximagen Limited as a Senior Scientist from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Evotec as a Principal Scientist. Finally, they joined Enthera Pharmaceuticals in 2019 as a Senior Nonclinical Project Manager and Preclinical Project Manager.

Monique Zangarini has a diverse education history. In 2005, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Biotechnology from Università del Salento. Monique then went on to pursue a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Milano, which they completed in 2011. In 2012, they completed a Biomedical Research Specialists degree in Pharmacy from the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research. The following year, they obtained a Second Level Master Course in Regulatory Disciplines and Pharmaceutical Politics from Sapienza Università di Roma. In 2015, they received an Introduction to Good Clinical Practice certification from the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
