Dave Hopkins

Dave Hopkins has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Dave started their career as a Systems Analyst at Sequent, where they managed the technological relationship with major customers like Intel Corporation and Cisco Systems. Dave then worked as a Sales Executive at Sequent Computer Systems, where they successfully sold Sequent systems and services to Cisco Systems. In 2000, Dave joined Pandesic as a Solutions Architect, providing technical expertise for sales and addressing customer needs for e-commerce solutions.

Dave then moved to EMC, where they held multiple roles over a 15-year period. As a Specialist Systems Engineer, they developed an array sizing methodology and validated complex consolidations for customers. Dave also served as a Technology Consultant, performing over 100 performance analysis reviews for customers and designing storage infrastructure. Later, as an Advisory Technology Consultant, Dave acted as the technical lead on major accounts and assisted in breaking into and growing accounts such as Microsoft and Salesforce.

In 2015, Dave joined Cisco as a Consulting Systems Engineer, specializing in data center solutions. Dave was responsible for product specification knowledge, solution-based configurations, and virtualization and orchestration of resources. Dave focused on areas such as cloud infrastructure, consolidation and virtualization, and integrated systems.

From 2016 to 2019, Dave worked at Franklin Templeton Investments as a Senior Engineer, leading efforts to improve and maintain server automation build services and engineer automated provisioning solutions for a hybrid cloud solution.

Currently, Dave is working at Entisys360 as a Solutions Architect, leveraging their extensive experience in networking, storage, compute, and enterprise applications. Dave consults with customers and serves as a trusted advisor, ensuring the right IT solutions are implemented for their organizations.

Dave Hopkins attended the University of San Francisco from 1987 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended Humboldt State University from 1981 to 1983, although no degree or field of study information was provided for this period. Dave also graduated from Cupertino High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1975 to 1979.

In terms of certifications, Dave Hopkins has obtained multiple certifications from Cisco. In June 2021, they obtained the Cisco Customer Success Manager (CSM) certification from Cisco. Additionally, they obtained the same certification in June 2021. Prior to these, Dave obtained the CCNA Data Center certification from Cisco in December 2019.
