Amirali Bukhari has a diverse work experience in the field of research and biosafety. Amirali is currently working at Alberta Health Services as a Research Scientist and Biosafety Officer since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Entos Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Scientist (In Vivo) starting from May 2022.
Amirali's earlier experience includes working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta from January 2016 to June 2021. In this role, they led research projects focusing on evaluating the impact of combined ATR and Wee1 inhibitor treatment for breast cancer therapy. Amirali achieved significant milestones, including spearheading multiple research projects resulting in three publications, assisting in grant preparation, and securing laboratory funding of approximately CAD 1,000,000. Before joining the University of Alberta, Amirali worked at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC). Amirali served as a Senior Research Fellow from August 2014 to September 2015, a Junior Research Fellow from June 2012 to July 2014, and a Research Trainee from June 2011 to June 2012.

Amirali Bukhari completed their Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute, Tathawade, Pune. This education took place from 2007 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer Sciences at the University of Alberta, which lasted from 2016 to 2021.
