Head of Preclinical Research at Entos Pharmaceuticals

Jailal Ablack has extensive work experience in the field of preclinical research and scientific investigation. Jailal is currently serving as the Head of Preclinical Research at Entos Pharmaceuticals since October 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at OncoSenX from September 2019 to October 2022.

Before their roles in industry, Jailal worked in an academic setting as an Assistant Project Scientist II at UCSD from July 2018 to August 2019, and as an Assistant Project Scientist at UCSD School of Medicine from May 2017 to August 2019. Jailal'sresearch in these positions focused on understanding the turnover and degradation of transmembrane proteins and their implications in therapeutic strategies for cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Jailal also has experience as a Medical Science Liaison at the Arthritis Foundation from July 2013 to November 2017, where they engaged in journal club meetings with local rheumatologists and dermatologists, discussed literature and unmet clinical needs, and hosted a meeting to expand the foundation's outreach program in January 2016.

In addition, Jailal has a background as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCSD from September 2011 to June 2017, and as a Staff Scientist at Innovascreen Inc from September 2010 to April 2011, where they focused on mutational analysis and optimization of protein function. Overall, Jailal Ablack has a diverse range of experience in both industry and academia, with a strong emphasis on preclinical research and therapeutic strategies.

Jailal Ablack pursued their education in the field of Microbiology and Immunology. Jailal attended Western University, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the years 1998 to 2011. During their time at the university, they received an additional degree of a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology.
