Jason Swails has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Jason currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at Iambic Therapeutics, where they lead the architecture and design of an integrated software platform for drug discovery. Jason has also designed and implemented a distributed computing platform using Kubernetes on AWS, allowing rapid training and deployment of AI/ML models. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Software Engineer at the same company, where they contributed to the design and implementation of various software ecosystems and platforms in the field of drug discovery.

Before joining Iambic Therapeutics, Jason worked as a Senior Project Software Engineer at Lutron Electronics, where they developed Alexa Smart Home Skills and implemented CI/CD processes for deploying software. Jason also has research experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rutgers University and as a Graduate Student at University of Florida. Additionally, they have held various visiting research and graduate student positions at Rutgers University, UCSD, and University of Buenos Aires. Jason's diverse work experience has equipped him with a strong background in software engineering, drug discovery, and research.

Jason Swails received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Binghamton University in 2008. Jason then went on to complete their PhD in Chemistry at the University of Florida in 2013. Additionally, they studied Microelectronic Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2005, although they did not earn a degree in that field.
