Melissa Pytel

Melissa Pytel has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property law. Melissa currently holds the position of Head of Intellectual Property at Entrada Therapeutics, where they have been employed since 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Entrada for six months. From 2017 to 2021, Melissa worked as an Attorney at Medler Ferro Woodhouse & Mills PLLC. Before that, they were a Partner at Glance Law Group from 2013 to 2017. Melissa began their legal career as an Attorney at Law at Pauly, DeVries Smith & Deffner, L.L.C. from 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney at Law at Human Genome Sciences from 2002 to 2007. Melissa's legal career began in 1995 as an Attorney at Merchant & Gould, where they worked until 2002.

Melissa Pytel completed their high school education at New Trier High School from 1983 to 1987. Melissa then pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1987 to 1991 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Continuing their education at the same university, Melissa earned a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from 1991 to 1995. Concurrently, they also attended the University of Illinois College of Law from 1991 to 1995 and achieved a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
