Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC)
Michael Weigand is an accomplished professional with a strong background in technology and military leadership. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Squadra Ventures since June 2024 and a Board Member at the Northern Virginia Technology Council since June 2023, Michael has a proven track record in startup environments. Prior to these roles, Michael co-founded Shift5, contributing to its growth from 2019 until June 2024. Michael's military experience includes service as a Cyber Officer and Unit Commander in the US Army from 2011 to 2019, where skills in software and hardware capability development were honed. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is the trade association representing the Northern Virginia technology community. As one of the nation's largest technology councils, NVTC serves companies from all sectors of the industry, from small businesses and startups to Fortune 100 technology companies, as well as service providers, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
