Urmil Shah

Urmil Shah is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as Principal at Entrepreneur First since October 2023, Urmil plays a pivotal role in investing in early-stage companies globally. Prior to this, Urmil spent over five years at Swiggy, where roles included Head of Strategy & Planning for Swiggy Handpicked, Director of Swiggy Labs, and General Manager of New Initiatives, contributing significantly to the company's expansion and innovation. Earlier experience includes co-founding Carnot Technologies Private Limited, a startup focused on automotive IoT, and consulting at Bain & Company on strategic issues across various sectors. Urmil holds an integrated B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
