Tommaso Demarie

Co-Founder and CEO at Entropica Labs

Tommaso Demarie has a long and varied career. Tommaso began in 2006 as an Information Assistant at HBS. In 2009, they worked as an Operational Risk Management Analyst at Banca Sella Holding, where they were responsible for operational risk modeling, using R, SAS and excel, as well as loss data analysis. In 2010, they began a PhD program in Quantum Information and Computation at Macquarie University, also working as an Academic Tutor. In 2014, they joined Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they conducted independent research in quantum physics and quantum cryptography and supervised two PhD students in their research. Tommaso also served as a Lecturer in Mathematics and a Bootcamp instructor. In 2017, they became an EFSG3 Fellow at Entrepreneur First. In 2018, they co-founded and became the CEO of Entropica Labs and also became a Contributing Writer at Quantum World Association. In 2021, they took on the role of ODPS1 Fellow at On Deck.

Tommaso Demarie's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Macquarie University in Quantum Information and Quantum Computing, which they obtained between 2010 and 2014. Tommaso also holds a Master of Science (MSc) from Università degli Studi di Torino in Physics, which they obtained between 2006 and 2009. Finally, they hold a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Università degli Studi di Torino in Physics, which they obtained between 2003 and 2006.
