Cherry Yuen is an experienced professional in the field of energy systems, currently serving as the Convener of the Steering Group Operational Framework for ENTSO-E since October 2021. In this role, Cherry focuses on providing an operational framework for Europe’s transmission systems, advising on EU regulations for secure and reliable operations. Concurrently, since May 2012, Cherry has been a Senior European System Operations Advisor at Swissgrid AG, providing technical and strategic guidance on European transmission system operations and market analyses. Previous roles include project management for pan-European market studies at ENTSO-E and leadership positions at ABB, where Cherry managed diverse teams and contributed to research in power systems control and economics. Cherry holds a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and advanced degrees from The University of Hong Kong.
