Richard Herweynen

Richard Herweynen is a seasoned technical leader and authority in water engineering with extensive experience at Entura since July 2004, currently serving as Technical Director. In this role, Richard plays a critical part in shaping the technical direction of various group portfolios, ensuring project success through strong technical governance. Previously held roles include Principal Consultant in Civil Engineering and Project Director for significant projects such as Meander Dam and various hydropower initiatives, including the Baleh Hydropower Project in Malaysia. Richard's earlier experience includes serving as Design Manager for the Wyaralong Dam Alliance and contributing to major dam projects across Australia. Richard holds a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from UNSW and additional qualifications in management and civil engineering.
