António José Preto

António José Preto is an experienced Data Scientist II at Enveda, having progressed through roles including Data Scientist I and Data Science Intern since May 2023. In addition to this role, António has significant involvement with ANBIOQ - Associação Nacional de Bioquímicos, serving as an Associado and Presidente da Mesa da Assembleia Geral since January 2019. Prior experience includes being a Researcher PhD Student and Bioinformatics Scientist at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology until April 2023, where António developed machine learning applications in Professor Irina Moreira's group. Other roles include leadership positions in various academic organizations and collaborations, alongside completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at Universidade de Coimbra, where previous degrees in Philosophy, Biochemistry, and a Master's in Biochemistry were also obtained.
