Matt Meiners, P.E. has extensive work experience in various roles within the oil and gas industry. Matt started their career at Baker Hughes in 1995, where they worked as a Research Engineer and Manager, focusing on R&D of new technologies in Drill Bits. Matt also conducted laboratory and field testing on prototype technologies.
In 2006, Matt became the Application Engineering Manager for the Asia Pacific region at Baker Hughes, leading a team of 11 application engineers. Matt provided product and engineering support for a $35M segment of the company's operations and prepared continual analysis of product performance.
From 2008 to 2009, Matt served as the Product Development Manager at Baker Hughes, managing a team of 7 engineers and 3 projects. Matt successfully developed under-reaming tools, casing/liner while drilling tools, and in-bit vibration sensing electronics, enabling the company to enter new markets with a total available market value of over $300M per year.
Matt then took on the role of Global Product Line Manager at Baker Hughes from 2009 to 2013. Matt managed the lifecycle of $500M Diamond Bit product lines, including preparing and presenting business cases and overseeing new product development teams.
In 2013, Matt became the Product Line Manager for the Persian Gulf region at Baker Hughes, where they led business operations in multiple countries and achieved financial targets. Matt also negotiated and sold the first successful test of a new product line in Pakistan.
In 2014, Matt joined Halliburton as the North America Region Manager for Coring Services. In this role, they directed coring operations, repair and maintenance, technical advisors, and sales teams, ensuring zero health, safety, and environment incidents and zero non-productive time.
Most recently, Matt has been working at Enventure Global Technology Inc. since 2016. Matt started as a Product Development Manager and was later promoted to Director of Engineering and Product Development.
Matt Meiners, P.E. received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota Mines in the year 1992. Matt then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies in 1995. In 1998, they attended the Murchinson Drilling School, where they focused on Well Drilling/Driller. In 2015, they furthered their education at the Mays Business School - Texas A&M University and completed the Business Leadership Development II - Halliburton Development program.
