Becky Sun's work experience starts in 1993 when they worked as a Marketing Coordinator for the University of Cincinnati, planning marketing and advertising for bookstores. From 1997 to 1998, they taught English classes as a Primary School Teacher in Uganda. In 1999, they served as Assistant to the Director at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), providing organizational support and creating documents. From 2000 to 2008, they worked at Harvard Medical School as a Managing Editor and Graphic Designer. Becky then became a Senior Editor at CEB Iconoculture Consumer Insights, where they edited consumer insights and wrote original articles. Since 2013, Becky has been working for EnVeritas Group (EVG) as an Editor, Project Manager, Writer, and Translator, handling various assignments for different clients. In 2016, they started working as a Book Editor, collaborating with academics and authors on their book projects.

Becky Sun obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism and French from Franklin College. Becky attended Franklin College from 1987 to 1991. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Comparative Linguistics from the University of Cincinnati. Becky attended the University of Cincinnati from 1993 to 1996.
