Erin Yargicoglu, PhD, is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Engineering Geologist at Environmental Information Logistics since February 2017, specializing in groundwater remediation, site investigations, hydrogeology, air emissions modeling, compliance, and regulatory reporting. Prior to this role, Erin served as an Environmental Scientist/Geologist and PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago from October 2008 to December 2016, focusing on biochar-amended landfill cover soil systems to enhance microbial methane oxidation and directing field work at a contaminated wetland site. Additional academic experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for various engineering and environmental science courses. Erin holds a PhD in Civil and Materials Engineering, a Master’s in Earth & Environmental Science, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Earth Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
