Laura Blackler

Laura Blackler is a seasoned professional in human resources and organizational development, currently serving as the General Manager - Partnering and Advisory at Environment Canterbury since October 2025. Prior to this role, Laura held multiple positions at Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu from October 2020 to September 2025, including Strategic HR Lead and Group Manager HR & Business Partnering. Laura's earlier experience includes a role as People and Culture Business Partner at Ara Institute of Canterbury and as HR Business Partner at Emerge Aotearoa. Laura began their career at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, focusing on People and Organisation Development. Laura holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Canterbury, completed between 2012 and 2015.
