Nick Bryan

Nick Bryan serves as the Principal Strategy Advisor at Environment Canterbury since October 2025. Prior to this role, Nick held various positions at ChristchurchNZ from July 2017 to October 2025, including Head of Strategy and Insights and General Manager - Strategy, Insights and Policy. Nick's earlier experience includes serving as Infrastructure Strategy Manager at Canterbury Development Corporation and Senior Strategy Advisor at Environment Canterbury. Additional roles included Senior Advisor at Te Manatū Waka - Ministry of Transport, and various positions such as Policy Analyst and Transport Planner at Environment Canterbury and Bristol City Council. Nick began a career in academia as a Research Associate at the University of the West of England after earning a degree in Environmental Quality and Resource Management with a focus on Environmental Policy/Science from the same institution.
