Allyn West

Allyn West is a Senior Communications Manager specializing in Advocacy Storytelling at the Environmental Defense Fund since May 2019. Prior to this role, Allyn served as an Editor, Writer, and Digital Producer at the Houston Chronicle from January 2017 to May 2019, and as a Writer and Assistant Director for Communications at Rice University from October 2013 to January 2017. Allyn holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, earned between 2008 and 2015, a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Creative Writing from New Mexico State University, obtained from 2004 to 2007, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Journalism from Ball State University, completed in 2004.
