Heather Puglisi

Heather Puglisi is an experienced fundraising and development professional currently serving as the Director of Donor Engagement and Events at the Environmental Defense Fund since January 2023. Prior to this role, Puglisi founded H Puglisi Partners, specializing in the assessment of development programs to maximize revenue and streamline operations. Significant roles also include serving as Senior Consultant for Changing Our World, where Puglisi evaluated fundraising strategies for New York City Health & Hospitals in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as Interim Chief Development Officer at Fountain House, where Puglisi led a team to exceed budget targets and secured a $3 million major gift. Earlier in career, Puglisi was Chief Talent Officer and Managing Director at Changing Our World, contributing to substantial fundraising initiatives and managing diverse project teams. Puglisi holds a degree from The New School in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management and has educational experience from Bryn Mawr College and Università per Stranieri di Siena.
