Hilary Kirwan

Hilary Kirwan is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in global food, agriculture, and environmental policy. Currently serving as the Senior Communications Director at the Environmental Defense Fund since December 2015, Hilary Kirwan has progressed through various roles, including Communications Director and Manager in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Ecosystems. Prior to this, Hilary Kirwan worked as a School Garden Coordinator for DC Prep Public Charter School and Kid Power Inc., and held positions at VOX Global as a Senior Account Executive. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in International Studies, Mandarin, and Economics from American University, alongside an M.A. in Global Environmental Policy from the same institution, further complemented by international experience at Peking University and various internships in business development and coordination.
