Kate Fairman possesses extensive experience in environmental and agricultural initiatives, currently serving as Senior Manager for Ag, Water & Food Operations at the Environmental Defense Fund since November 2018. Previous roles at the organization include Manager of Ocean Climate Strategies and Project Manager for US Oceans. Prior to joining the Environmental Defense Fund, Kate worked as Membership Coordinator for Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture from January 2015 to October 2018. Additional experience includes serving as Deputy National Finance Director for U.S. Senate campaigns and as a Staff Assistant in the United States Senate. Kate began a career in fundraising with Stabenow for U.S. Senate. Educationally, Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy from Michigan State University’s James Madison College.
