Jacob Runner has extensive experience in environmental analysis and GIS services, currently serving as the GIS Services Practice Leader and Project Manager at Environmental Design & Research since May 2015. Prior roles include GIS Services Manager and Senior Environmental Analyst/GIS Specialist at the same organization. Before this, Jacob Runner was a Lab Manager/Senior Research Support Specialist at The Research Foundation for SUNY and an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at SUNY ESF. Earlier experience includes positions as a GIS Technician and Research Technician at Thousand Islands Biological Station and Research Assistant at New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. Jacob Runner began a career in construction as a Carpenter Apprentice at Iversen Construction Corp from 2004 to 2007. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Information and Mapping from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and an Associate of Science in Environmental Studies from Finger Lakes Community College.
