Amy Gambrill

Amy leads EI’s Strategic Communications and Knowledge Management Portfolio. She is a Senior Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist for Environmental Incentives, bringing more than 25 years of experience in international environmental development and domestic water protection. Her strong ability to convey technical concepts to varied groups helps synthesize field-tested concepts and disseminate complex issues to key audiences so they can apply evidence and best practices to their work. Amy’s combination of water, international conservation, and communications skills provide Environmental Incentives’ clients with the ability to improve their reach and enhance their effectiveness.

Amy is the Knowledge Management Task Area Lead for USAID’s Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK) activity, where she oversees Climatelinks, BiodiversityLinks, and other strategic knowledge management support to USAID’s Biodiversity, Climate, Energy, Infrastructure, and Water Divisions. Previously, Amy was the Acting Chief of Party and Communications Team Lead for USAID’s Water Communications & Knowledge Management project, where she developed new ways of reaching water sector stakeholders and developed communications to demonstrate the real impacts of USAID’s water programming on the lives of people in the developing world. She also served as the Communications Director for EPA’s National Water Program and supported the Clean Water Act Section 319(h) grants program.

Amy hopes to be as influential as Jane Goodall in the field of conservation. By communicating clearly and in a compelling way, Amy aspires to encourage a more varied section of the population to become involved in environment and climate solutions.
