Sudhir Rao

Sudhir Rao is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, currently serving as Chief Business Officer at Envisagenics since January 2025. Prior to this, Rao held the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development at Expansion Therapeutics from January 2022 to February 2025, and Vice President of Business Development at Genocea from July 2018 to January 2022. A history of significant roles includes Director of R&D Transactions at Takeda and Director of In-Licensing and External R&D at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, where Rao led due diligence assessments and licensing negotiations. Earlier career experiences include leadership positions at Merck, UCB Research, and the University of Massachusetts Cancer Center, focusing on research and development in oncology and other therapeutic areas.
