Yahya Anvar

Yahya Anvar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Yahya is currently serving as the Chief of AI Science and Insights at OKRA.ai since June 2023. Previously, they held the position of Head of Data Science at the same company from August 2019 to June 2023. Prior to that, Yahya worked at Envision Pharma Group as the Chief of AI Science and Insights starting from June 2023.

Before transitioning to the AI field, Yahya worked at Leiden University Medical Center where they held various roles including Senior Scientist from December 2015 to August 2019, Postdoctoral Scientific Researcher from May 2011 to November 2015, and Scientific Researcher from November 2008 to May 2011. In the early stages of their career, Yahya worked as a System Manager and Web Administrator at BookCity Online Store from 2000 to 2002, and as a Project Monitoring and Consultancy at Negah Multimedia Co in 2000.

Yahya Anvar received their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Eastern Mediterranean University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Yahya then pursued a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics at Brunel University London, completing the program from 2006 to 2007. Following this, they enrolled at Leiden University Medical Center, where they obtained their PhD in Bioinformatics between 2008 and 2011.
