Andrew Holmes

Andrew Holmes is a Systems and Controls Engineer at Envision Virgin Racing Formula E Team since June 2018, focusing on the management of control systems for electric powertrains and data analysis for racing events. Previously, Andrew contributed to Sheffield Formula Racing from November 2014 to July 2018 as an Engine and Electronics team member, designing electrical systems for a Formula Student car and leading teams in both business and technical capacities. Andrew also engaged in research projects at the University of Sheffield, including creating an electromyograph controller for mobile robots and implementing a power system controller for electric vehicles, supported by grants from the Sheffield Undergraduate Research Experience and the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council. Andrew holds a degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield and graduated from King Edward VI Grammar School.
