Vanessa Vasquez has extensive experience in project management and strategic development within Teach For America, serving in various leadership roles since June 2014, including Managing Director and Product Manager. Vanessa leads the Fellowships & New Programs team, facilitating technological solutions aligned with Teach For America's strategic goals. A principal strategist, Vanessa has executed IT programs utilizing both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies, overseeing project planning, risk management, and resource allocation. In previous roles, Vanessa successfully managed project initiatives that significantly impacted teacher recruitment during the Covid pandemic and strengthened donor relationships through effective communication strategies. Vanessa’s diverse background also includes legal and counseling roles, supported by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John's University.
