Trish Nelson

Trish Nelson (Townsend) has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Trish has served as a General Counsel for the Dusek Family Office, where they provided legal and compliance support for their various companies and ventures, including Enygma Ventures and the Quiver Tree Collection. Trish has also held positions as a Head of Legal and Compliance at Enygma Ventures and as a Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Legal Counsel at Africa Trust Group. Prior to these roles, they worked as an Attorney and Commercial Mediator at Legal Matters Consulting, Trish Nelson Attorneys, and Mogul Consulting. Trish also has experience as a Senior Legal Advisor and Associate at Self-employed and Pearson Attorneys, respectively. With their expertise in international business and knowledge of legal frameworks, Trish has emerged as a skilled professional in commercial law, alternative dispute resolution, and legal advisory.

Trish Nelson (Townsend) has a diverse education background. Trish obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and a Bachelor of Arts (Law) degree from the University of Johannesburg, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. In 2013, they completed LEAD: Practical Legal Training at LSSA and pursued Commercial Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution at USB; CD/ACDS African Centre for Dispute Resolution. Trish also attended Hyde Park High School from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they have obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate in Trauma Informed Coaching from The Centre for Healing in August 2023 and accreditation as a Mediator from Conflict Dynamics-Africa Center for Dispute Settlement.
