Jose Briano

As the Head of Transaction and Strategy Advisory at Enzen Spain, Jose supports clients to accelerate into, and benefit from, the global transition to a more sustainable energy model.

Clients include private investors and firms, as well as regulators, multi-laterals and local authorities around the world, with a particular focus on the Iberian, Latin American and Caribbean markets.

Jose has a 360-degree understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by clients across the value chain. His expertise includes shaping national energy programmes and policies, closing major renewable generation deals for hundreds of MWs, developing technological roadmaps for clients and defining market entry strategies.

During his two-decade career, Jose has delivered strategic and financial advisory at local, regional and global levels, working in the strategic consulting and investment banking service sectors in Europe (mainly the UK and Spain), Latin America and the USA.

Jose holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford in the UK and an MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore.

In the UK, he’s been registered by the Financial Services Authority to provide hedge fund and capital markets advisory services. Jose is an Adjunct Professor for Negotiation and the Energy Access Challenge for Bachelor’s and Master’s courses at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
